ABOUT
Here?s what people are saying about THEOOZE (without us even asking them) through our guestbook, emails, and letters. None of these testimonies have been solicited in any way. Feel free to post your thoughts on The Wall.
"For a look at the postmodern transition from a street level, visit THEOOZE.com, my favorite Christian resource."
Leonard Sweet
Quoted from Postmodern Pilgrims: 1st Century Passion for a 21st Century World (p.160)
"Love your name! And what you're about seems very intriguing. You seem to be thinking / wondering / praying and panicking about the same things I am. Kewl."
George Cladis
Author of Leading the Team-Based Church
"Thanks for your work."
Jimmy Long
Author of Generating Hope: A Strategy for Reaching the Postmodern Generation
"THEOOZE web site looks great. God bless."
Jim Burns
President of YouthBuilders
"Thanks for the David Wilcox interview. As usual, David was more than compelling. Keep up the good work."
Charlie Peacock

?What an impact God has given me through your Ooze 99 tapes. They were extremely hard to listen to. I had to stop the tape every 15 minutes - I was either so excited about what I was hearing or so moved I needed to catch up emotionally. I am not generally demonstrative in my showing of emotions, so to say this is incredible. I feel like a kid on the carousal who is trying to reach out and grab the brass ring. However I am in a church where I am only allowed to sit on the outside horses as I look in to the ring. But God is good. Something will break. Thank you both and God's deepest blessings upon you and your families.?
Gordon
"THEOOZE is great, great, great. I especially like "Why THEOOZE?" I was excited to know that there are other people who talk like I do!!! And what an amazing concept! WOW, WOW, WOW"
Regina Snyder
Cyberminister of SpiritVenture Ministries
"GREAT job on the web site!!"
Pastor Barry Whitlow
The Visual Church
"This site is Awesome!! As a volunteer in a "postmodern" focused ministry, I don't have as much time as I'd like to pour over the web seeking resources and places to network with people. This is the kind of resource that people like me need."
Eric Luedtke
"I love the website. I found it at 1am Australian time and book marked it so I can go through it more thoroughly later on. I have used most of the site out and it impresses me with it passionate focus on personal worship and encounter with God. Gone are the focuses on institution and bearing down on us is the revolution towards relationship with the Father. I have been rocking my Senior Pastor about postmodernism for some time and he is now surfing the net about this topic. It was he who sent me your site address. Keep up the fantastic work and I encourage you, folks in Australia (me and my SP) are cheering you on!"
Darren Hultgren, Youth Pastor

"Outstanding sight! Just what I have been looking for. I appreciate the tremendous number of resources marshaled here."
Steve Phillips
"I am a big fan of THEOOZE?s site. I visit often and benefit from all the e-goods! I am the founding pastor of a new church in Cincinnati, OH that was started in 1995. We have attracted mostly 20 something's. Thanks for supporting our ministry with helpful insight on our culture transition. I'll look forward to receiving the updates."
Tom Planck
"From a Southern Baptist minister, I enjoy your site, thanks!"
Jeff Doremus
"Super site! Wish I had seen it sooner!"
Russell Schlecht
"I am the Youth Pastor at a contemporary church in Perth Western Australia. Having read Leonard Sweet's books and seen the change in my young people, I have had my eyes opened to the rising tide of people desiring to "experience" God. Acknowledging that "experience" should not be our motive in our faith, I am seeking to increase my understanding of this shift in worship and the arts. We are doing our best to encourage our church within these areas of church ministry."
Darren Hultgren
"thanks for your helpful THEOOZE page. it has been a helpful resource. i had thought of doing a similar page as i have been neck deep in studying the postmodern culture and believe most of the Church is unprepared at best for the tidal change. people in my denominational network consider me to be somewhat of a postmodern missionary and i have done some teaching and writing on the current cultural change. your site has helped me to stay in tune with some of the changes with churches etc. thanks again and keep it up!"
Mark
"glad to know you guys exist!"

Chris Benzing
"I'm an old pastor (38) preparing to begin a Gen-X service in the near future and need connecting with those who know what they are doing."
David Bowman
"Starting up a new alternative service here in Baton Rouge called Freeway, and appreciate the wealth of articles and ideas -- thanks very much."
Steve Wallace
" whoa ... my brain is fried i feel like i have a church that will never understand the postmodern movement (they may not need to as ours is in the middle of nowhere nebraska and we are just hitting the late 80's socially) thanks for the inspiration"
Gordon Wohlers
"Thanks for all the work you guys are doing to help further ministry!!!!"
Molly Chase
Coast Hills Church
"Thanks for providing some resources and partners in ministry. It makes the island of postmodern ministry a true Gilligan?s Island."
Brad Bell
"Really enjoyed the interview with Leonard Sweet. My college roommate has mentioned Len in his e-mails to me and this is the first time I have had a chance to get some insight into the thought processes of this man. I will be back."
Ben Crawford
"Keep me updated!"
Dave Furgeson
"Hi, I?m an Aussie songwriter interested in using music to reach the postmodern world."
Ken Davis
"Awesome site! It is awesome to see that so many church leaders have felt the same way about how we do church, and that we are all willing to take the risk to continue the work found in Acts in a new and ever changing world, may the Gospel never fade. Blessings!"
Rick Brooks
"I find your web page to be exciting. I have also added it to my first ever web page links. Hope you don't mind. My page is a work in progress, which will have a number of up grades in the future."
Tom Beasley
"I'm the new outreach pastor at First EV Free Fullerton. I was the church planter and lead pastor of Ambassador Bible Church (www.multiethnic.org) before I moved out to head up church planting here in so. cal. We are starting a new PoMo GenX ministry (www.twentysomething.org). I'm getting some of staff to be a part of Soularize Conference on May 13! Just wanted to encourage you on your ministry and if I could be of any service, email me or give me a call. Thanks again for your work!"
Ray Chang
"A friend recently told me about THEOOZE, so I thought I'd log on. I must say that I am quite impressed by the whole thing and the articles are great. Thank you!"
Emily Rova

"Love the site and the caricature of Len Sweet, one of my best friends, is great!!! Thanks for the good stuff!"
Lan Leavell
"I just wanted to let you know that I enjoy your website. I don't know quite how to express this but?I guess I didn't know that this type of community/culture/group existed in the body of Christ. It's right up my alley, but I find that there aren't that many people in the Christian circles I run with (there are plenty in the secular) that really have the intellectual curiosity to appreciate arts and letters and their place in life with Christ. Anyways, thank you."
Robert Blackett
"I love your web site. It is a great resource for me."
Kirk J Schwarzenbach
"Greetings from Ann Arbor, Michigan! We spoke a few weeks ago when you called me regarding THEOOZE Gathering cassette tape series that I ordered. I had to write and say a huge THANKS! It was worth the wait! I only wish I was able to be there in person, but it was encouraging and exciting listening to the tapes. I appreciate your vision for THEOOZE and the changes and enhancements with the web site, etc. Very cool! Keep up the excellent work and let me know how I can serve you and your growing ministry with THEOOZE."
