How are you being supported, cared for, and continuing your learning? ETREK Learning Groups are peer-to-peer groups that connect 15 to 25 individuals with a natural affinity, such as lead pastors.

I wish I had something like this when I was in seminary and in my church ministry experience. After a staff meeting is over and people move on to their work and home, no one else carries the weight of the church like a lead pastor.  You will be the one always second-guessing the direction of your church, and staying awake at night holding the awesome responsibility of leading the community.  As many teams as you create, and partnerships you design, no one truly understands the responsibilities and rewards of being a lead pastor apart from other lead pastors.

A group of lead pastors committed to an ETREK learning group and sharing from their own experience, will be able to create the safe, interactive and accessible community you might be looking for.

5-7 private conference calls with Facilitator and Guest Faculty. Interact with thinkers on the front lines. They will help you grapple with today's challenges facing the church and her leadership. Guest Faculty will include those like - Frederica Matthews-Green, Dan Kimball, Andrew Jones, Sally Morgenthaler, Leonard Sweet, Brian McLaren and Karen Ward.

Meet face to face during our first two-day gathering. If you registered with Fuller Seminary, we will meet on the Fuller Seminary Campus in Pasadena, CA. The Fall initial two-day gathering will be on September 29-30, 2004. The culminating Fall two-day gathering will be on December 1-2, 2004. You will be notifited of the exact details once the course is filled and confirmed.

Your fellow traveler will be Spencer Burke, (member of ETREK Facilitator Faculty) creator of TheOoze, host of Soularize, Founder of ETREK and IndieAllies.net, Author of  "Making Sense of Church" (released Sept. 2003) and currently working on a new short film festival, "Cavepaint."
