Hello to all of my lovely Ooze Peoples and Others!

I haven't been engaging here much because my life has gotten sucked up by my employer, a small private music college. I've been teaching full time for quite a few years now, but because I've been promoted, I'm being required to get my masters degree. It's in guitar performance. I'm working as many hours as I ever have and carrying 6 credits on top of that... writing lots of research papers! I'm also pressed into advising students academically, which is an administrative mess, challenge and ultimately frustrating. I'm pretty drained all the time.

My older daughter has separated from her brilliant painter/husband, so that's a giant heartache for her mom and me. The younger daughter just left to live in San Diego. More parental anxiety.

Solomon's Porch is still my great refuge from toxic christianity.

Hoping God's best for all of you. Always fun reading the exchanges on here.

    Much Love!

Wow. It sounds like you're dealing with a lot right now. It's good you have a refuge. I'll add these to my prayers for you.

Good to hear from you again Other. Sounds like you are really burning the midnight oil these days. Sorry to hear about your daughter's divorce. I know the heartache you are feeling, as our son divorced his beautiful wife two years ago. I still miss her, but understand why things didn't work for them. It's a very hard place to be.

Hope you poke in once in awhile...always enjoyed your humour. :)

Wow Tim, that sounds hard. It's good to hear what's going on in your life, though.
